We installed the Brembo 17mm RCS Master Cylinder on our KTM 790 Duke and dramatically increased the braking performance and feel over stock. It's truly amazing what a quality master cylinder can do for your braking performance and there's none better than the Brembo RCS.
A Brembo RCS Radial master cylinder affords top level response times and perfectly modulated braking in any conditions, with excellent linearity between the force applied to the lever and braking response. The 17 RCS further enhances the braking feeling of all sports bikes equipped with radial mounted calipers like 790 Duke, 790 Adventure, 990 Super Dukes, 950/990 Supermotos as well as non-radial mounted models such as the 950/990 Adventure.
This master cylinder is equipped with the RCS system, patented by Brembo for adjustment of the lever's inter-axis, which allows the ideal feeling between rider and bike to be achieved. In just a few seconds, using a simple screwdriver, the brakes can be made more aggressive and responsive (20 mm) or softer and more adaptable (18 mm). With the cam in position 18, highlighted in red, a more adaptable braking feeling can be achieved; with the cam in position 20, highlighted in black, the braking feeling is sharper and more responsive.
This model uses a 17 mm diameter piston and a folding long lever, a detail which is particularly popular with Racing riders and track day enthusiasts.
Brembo uses only cutting-edge procedures and processes to ensure outstanding operation and performance. In fact, the aluminum alloy master cylinder body is obtained through forging and is subsequently machined with numeric controlled machines.
As with all RCS master cylinders, the RCS 17 also comes with a micro-switch kit to activate the brake light and a banjo bolt.
