The heat deflector is well conceived and the camel cutout is sharp looking. Install was made easy thanks to the instruction video on YouTube.

Wasn't convinced that i need it...
But after riding some and then touching the shock to see if heat really transmits that much, i had to confirm that thats the case. Besides that i could really feel the cat heat on my left leg and it seemed a bit excessive. With the Camel heat shield, i feel no heat anymore on my leg and the stock does not heat up beyond touch for me so far. So once more, a happy customer. I'm just curious that since the heat probably gets reflected back into the cat if that will have a long term impact.

improvement but not a solution
The CAT heat shield fit properly and keeps the shock cool enough to touch with a bare hand after riding. However, if traffic conditions activate radiator fan the shock gets too hot to touch. I am going to remove CAT and install a link pipe to the OEM muffler.
