KTM 1290 Super Duke R Cruise Control Kit
Add electronic cruise control to your KTM 1290 Super Duke R for more comfortable and controlled long-distance riding. This complete kit integrates with the motorcycle's existing electronic systems and includes a durable, weatherproof 3-button handlebar switch.
Triple-Button Cruise Control Switch
A 3 button switch for controlling the cruise functions is included. Fully watertight and durable. Mounts directly to standard 22mm handlebars with a fully opening bracket. Increase and Decrease speed by 3kph with each press (configurable). This option provides 3 buttons.

- Resume / Increase
- Cancel
- Set / Decrease
Compatible with Aftermarket Accessories
The cruise control system is designed to work with aftermarket lighting and other electrical accessories. No wire splicing or modification of the factory brake sensor wiring is required.
Cruise Control Safety Features
The system continuously monitors the motorcycle's operating conditions and will automatically disengage cruise control when any of the following conditions are detected:
- Engine RPM rises above 8000
- Front or Rear Brake Depressed
- Clutch lever is pulled
- Bike transmission is in first gear or neutral
- Any one of the required CANBUS packets are not updated within 1000 milliseconds
- A difference of 10% between the front and rear wheel speeds
Configuration
The module features a weatherproof USB-C connection for configuring various system parameters, including:
- Speed increment size
- PID gain
- Throttle limits
Diagnostic Port
The kit utilizes the motorcycle's factory diagnostic port to collect important vehicle and speed data required by the cruise control system.
Installation
To install this kit you must remove the fuel tank and split the headlight housing and typically takes approximately 2 hours with the proper tools and experience.
The included T-harness interfaces with the motorcycle's throttle signals, while the diagnostic connection provides the cruise control module with the required vehicle and speed data.
