KTM apparently isn't using the 790/890 Adventure like some of us are. Hard. One of the 'New Model Blues' of this bike (aside from being a game changing motorcycle) happens to be weak headlight brackets that have been snapping at the top weldment bar on the frame, leaving riders to finish their rides with a loose headlight, possibly doing even more damage just to get home.
The Rottweiler Performance Headlight Brace is a very different approach than what you have probably already seen. Sheet metal braces may help a little, but they are obtrusive and the slotted holes at the headlight mounts solely rely on the friction of the backside of the tiny bolt head alone to do the work, which is not ideal. Especially if the bolt(s) work loose and then the sheet metal brace completely stops working altogether. Because of the turnbuckle design, the Rottweiler Performance headlight brace will continue to work, even if the bolts come loose.
The Rottweiler Performance Headlight Brace works differently by creating a completely inflexible link between a very solid frame tab and the upper headlight mounting bar in a perfectly straight line by adding a very small turnbuckle that can actually pull tight once installed for a brutally strong brace. No sheet metal folds to flex. No obtrusive material in places it doesn't need to be and be seen. Simple and elegant, this small device allows the user to create a very tight and flex free link to the weak part the design, and creates some riding insurance for those looking to ride rather than end their rides.
But what about the bottom bolt? There is very little force on the bottom bolts, and rest assured thin pieces of sheet metal aren't doing very much anyway. In addition, the pulling action (top mount) is far more destructive than a pushing action (lower mount), so bracing the bottom mount has never really been needed.

Should of bought this prior to first few rides
seen this on your website but didnt think i would need this, two rides on the bike and 600 miles later in big bear as my light cluster looked like it was not going to make the 160 mile ride i knew this should of been one of the first things this bike needed.
Great Brace
I started off with the Camel ADV Brace, then I came across the Rottweiler Brace, so since I already had the Camel ADV Brace installed I just doubled up and installed the Rottweiler Brace along with it. BOMB PROOF!
Headlight brace, very good instructions
Wow, install was fairly involved and fortunately the instructions were spot on.
Headlight brace.
Was not looking forward to fitting this as I am an amateur mechanic.
I knew I needed to add one though as didn’t want to snap my headlight off. It was easy and I enjoyed installing them. I only lost one inner tank runner bushing so heed to that on the instructions. My bike ate it.
Great product to toughen up the KTM adventures and really was a straight forward install. Thanks for the great product and also the great instructions provided.
Peace of MIND
Glad to strengthen my front head bolts and front light mount. Thanks
instal and appearance are sweet!
I will review this product after i romp this poor 790 off road and my headlight stays uprite it is super stout, IMO the best brace on the market
Great brace, easy install
I'm not an engineer or a physicist, but this seems like it will handle the job.
Installation was pretty easy without removing the tank. Following the online instructions...you do have to remove the tank bolts to prop the tank up to afford room to get the rear bolts started, but that's the most difficult part of the install.
I did A LOT of research for braces before deciding on this one. I felt this would be best and the less intrusive of them all. This brace concentrates on the upper mounting points as this is where the stock threaded posts are breaking due to the cantilever nature of the 7/890 head light pod. What really helped me decide was the the fact that, as opposed to other braces that just hold the bucket in place, this brace actually has the ability to "pull back" and alleviate the top weight of the bucket. This to me seems more apt to not only hold the assembly in place IF it breaks, but to prevent a failure all together. Keep in mind the turnbuckles are STRONG, they only need to be hand snug, then locked in with the nuts on either side of the turnbuckles. Riding the washboard dirt roads of AZ I have no doubt this will keep my machine together and can ride hard with confidence. Just one less thing to worry about.
Great, well thought out system, and very easy install.
More work then video states
Overall I think it’s a good product. I had to remove the tank to get access to the mounting points. I tried to prop up the tank like the video shows but couldn’t get the screws started easily. It took me 3 hours to do and I’m a certified aircraft mechanic and have always worked on my motorcycles
Solid build
Really well built brace for the 790/890 ADV, no doubt that it will keep the headlight where it needs to be. Install would be easier if you remove the tank, otherwise it's a little challenging to get the 2 top bolts for the bracket lined up and tightened.
