I'm not an engineer or a physicist, but this seems like it will handle the job.
Installation was pretty easy without removing the tank. Following the online instructions...you do have to remove the tank bolts to prop the tank up to afford room to get the rear bolts started, but that's the most difficult part of the install.
I did A LOT of research for braces before deciding on this one. I felt this would be best and the less intrusive of them all. This brace concentrates on the upper mounting points as this is where the stock threaded posts are breaking due to the cantilever nature of the 7/890 head light pod. What really helped me decide was the the fact that, as opposed to other braces that just hold the bucket in place, this brace actually has the ability to "pull back" and alleviate the top weight of the bucket. This to me seems more apt to not only hold the assembly in place IF it breaks, but to prevent a failure all together. Keep in mind the turnbuckles are STRONG, they only need to be hand snug, then locked in with the nuts on either side of the turnbuckles. Riding the washboard dirt roads of AZ I have no doubt this will keep my machine together and can ride hard with confidence. Just one less thing to worry about.
Great, well thought out system, and very easy install.
