Kickstand Sensor Relocator

This bracket solves a problem due to the KTM 390 Adv side stand being too close to my heel while riding, especially off-road, and when standing. Even small bumps could cause my boot heel to bump the side stand and trigger the switch, resulting in engine cut out. I'd already added a stronger side stand spring, which helped but did not completely solve the problem. The Relocator is a simple bracket that allows the side stand sensor magnet to be positioned next to the sensor and relocated to a protected spot away from the side stand. The design works perfectly and installation took me less than 10 minutes on my 2020 ktm. You can also undo the relocation bracket if you decided to reconnect your switch for some reason. There are multiple options for positioning the relocation bracket and it is straight forward to get it so that your side stand switch is reasonably protected from damage. This bracket solved a nagging problem for me for less than $30. The bracket is a little pricey for what it is, but I feel like I paid for a solution, not just a part.

The commonly known fix for the 790/890 platform works just as well on the 901 Expedition. I initially replaced the side stand spring with the heavier center stand spring, but still utilize the relocation bracket to get the sensor up and out of the way, and eliminate any cause of failure on the trail.

It does relocate the sensor and the bike wont turn off with the side stand. Yet,I'd like to position it in a better spot. It still looks vulnerable..

This is the perfect solution to preventing one from potentially being stuck with a broken/faulty side stand. Installation was easy, and the mount tucks away with no risk from being inadvertently broken off/snagged during riding. I installed this little beauty on both my 2021 KTM Adventure 890 (base model), as well as my 2023 KTM Adventure 890R. Ingenious solution!!

It does what it's supposed to do

I experienced bike stalls due to my kickstand bouncing around while riding off-road. This inexpensive and easy relocator was easy to install and fixed the issue. Heard from other riders as well that this is a must have for a KTM 790 or 890 ADV when riding off-road. Directions are simple to follow and gives you several options to relocate the sensor. If you are thinking about also purchasing the Arrow Mid-Pipe then I suggest you install these at the same time. Glad I did because it gave me more options to relocate the sensor after removing the cat from my bike.
