The SD-R has a few distinct differences from the SD-K version. The SD-R features Hard Chrome coated damping rod that has a lapped finished for "Zero Sticiton" performance. The SD-R also features a Ti-Nitride surface treatment to the damping rod to further reduce chances of stiction.
