The long awaited Rottweiler Performance Steering Damper for the KTM Super Duke 1290 (2017-2019) is finally here. 

The 1290 is a beast, to say the least, and as expected, the stock damper is insufficient. The bike just wants to go fast and wheelie and setting down can be a nervous experience, to say the least.

Enter the Rottweiler Performance Damper Kit. Machined from high-quality US mil-spec 6061 T6 aluminum, then type 2 black anodized to form a no-compromise damper assembly.

Utilizing the industry standard Scotts steering damper with 'Road' valving, the Scotts stabilizer has every gram of adjustability you will need to stay in total control with overall valving adjustments, sweep control and what the Super Duke 1290 needs the most, high-speed-damping to handle those nasty set-downs with ease and wrangle that beast into submission.

Don't like the feel of a damper but want one to 'kick in' when the time is right? Unlike linear dampers that only have damping adjustability, Scotts dampers also have 'Sweep Control' and 'High Speed' valving. The sweep control will allow the degree of damping from the center out, and the high-speed damping will allow the rider to dial down the damping to almost nothing for quick steering, but then set the high-speed circuit to only kick in when the handlebars are jerked away faster than the rider normally steers. This is INVALUABLE for setting down wheelies and potholes.

NOTE: The ignition lock tank cover must be modified for this damper kit with an oval hole. You may do this yourself with some drilling and sanding, or you can add a pre modified cover below and we will send a factory part already cleanly modified in our CNC. Both the plastic and carbon choices are the factory original parts. See pics above for closer inspection.
