I've tried a few cat back exhausts on the 890R and for a multi use commuter/trail/enduro travel bike that i switch from saddlebags to panniers or back to naked, this one ticks more boxes than the others and delivery to the UK was super quick from rottweiler.
I've had great sounding cans but they we're too much without ear plugs.
Some with none or not enough heat shields.
A Rally style low exhaust - dented first time I dropped the bike in ruts
So it fits great with the arrow decat and the stock header, everything aligns and its tucked in nicely, more noticeable when the pannier racks are on and I could modify the right one to bring the pannier several inches closer.
The carbon sheilds are great quality with additional heat reflective protection in the back. The large one is perfect for protecting my saddlebags without having to jubilee clip or cable tie additional heat shields onto a nice Ti finish and my sons legs are protected too.
The KTM pannier rack front mount does touch the shield but that's more the fault of the racks design and other makes that mount higher won't have this, also likely due to manufacturing tolerance of the racks some will and some won't.
Love the twin outlets
not sure if the end cap screws are coated or Ti ? I'm sure the UK winter road salt with let me know.
Nice note and it can Bark, but it's respectable on cruise letting the chorus of knobblies and KTM bag of spanners engine sound come to the fore.
I can grab people's attention with a crack of the throttle but then short shift and it doesn't turn a head through a village or on the trail or demand ear plugs all of the time. I expect it will sound even better with the full setup.
Negatives - makes me want to spend more money on the full system !!!
