Product Details
Rev up your sense of adventure and experience the raw beauty of Baja, Mexico like never before—on two wheels and off the beaten path. Our off-road motorcycle tour plunges you into a thrilling landscape of sun-scorched deserts, rugged mountain trails, historic Spanish missions and endless coastal vistas, where every twist of the throttle brings new and breathtaking experiences. Whether you're carving through cactus-lined singletrack or blasting across wide-open playas, Baja delivers the kind of freedom and grit that riders dream about, and few get to experience. With expert guides, authentic local stops, and epic terrain, this is more than a ride—it’s a full-throttle escape into the heart & soul of off-road riding.
We ride during Baja’s most enchanting seasons — late March through early May and again from late October to early December — when the temperatures settle into that perfect, golden balance of near perfection. Your journey sweeps through every corner of the peninsula’s soul: cool mountain pine forests, shimmering dry lake beds, endless desert plains, and the twin coastlines where the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez breathe against the sand. Along the way, we visit centuries‑old Spanish Missions, some standing proud in pristine condition, others resting in hauntingly beautiful ruins. You’ll traverse the entire length of Baja, from the Tecate border to the very tip of Cabo San Lucas — over 1,430 miles and roughly 35 hours in the saddle. About 300 miles of that will be on pavement during transfers, and even those stretches are just as stunning and welcome.
The adventure reaches its crescendo with an unforgettable final ride along the Pacific coast, where deep‑blue waves lap just off your tires as you glide toward a seaside lunch in beautiful Todos Santos. From there, the last kilometers carry you into the vibrant resort town of Cabo San Lucas for drinks, celebration, and a well‑earned finish‑line moment.
THE BIG QUESTION: WHAT IS THE SKILL LEVEL?
Riders should be of solid intermediate skill, free of serious medical complications, and comfortable covering 200+ miles of typical desert terrain per day, back‑to‑back. The journey flows through four days of riding, followed by a restorative day off in the beautiful historic town of Loreto. From there, we continue with three more days of riding into Cabo San Lucas, ending with another free day to enjoy the town’s charm. The terrain isn’t extreme, but you’ll encounter a tasteful mix of rock gardens, whoops, sand washes, and classic Baja character and beauty. This experience is half about the ride and half about the destinations — the landscapes, the culture, the magic of the peninsula. Our goal is simple: give you an unforgettable experience in some of the most stunning places Baja has to offer. If at any point you want a break, you’re welcome to hop into the support vehicles and enjoy the beautiful highways and towns from a different perspective, but we don't think that will be likely. Our terrain selection has been widely praised for its thoughtful curation, offering riders a refined balance of challenge and satisfaction that elevates the entire Baja experience.
The rides are intimate and currently limited to 6-10 people + staff and custom tour packages can be quoted quickly for groups looking for private tours tailored just for them.

THE ROTTWEILER BIKES:
We operate a pristine fleet of 2024+ KTM four‑strokes, each one maintained to a standard rarely seen in the touring world. Every bike begins its journey with fresh Dunlop tires, high‑quality Dunlop bib mousse inserts, and newly serviced components. We even bring along a spare machine or two, just in case the desert calls for a backup. Each rental includes a preloaded Garmin 6" XT2 and an inReach device, seamlessly integrated into our team‑tracking system so you’re never out of sight, even when the landscape feels endless.
Beyond the ride itself, we offer something almost unheard of: full customization of your motorcycle, crafted to your exact preferences. Flexx Bars, Rekluse auto clutches, specialty grips, personalized suspension valving — whatever elevates your experience, we make it happen. Call us, and we’ll curate a bike that feels bespoke, not borrowed — a far cry from the worn‑out rentals you’ll find on typical tours.

TEAM TRACKING & COMMUNICATION:
Our operations run on a technology stack rarely seen in the touring world—purpose‑built to keep every rider connected, informed, and protected. Each chase vehicle is outfitted with Starlink high‑speed satellite internet, giving the entire group reliable broadband access at pit stops, no matter how remote the terrain. Our support van also carries a dedicated tablet command console, allowing our chase team to monitor the full rider group in real‑time telemetry.
To enable this, every rider is issued a Garmin inReach Mini 2, forming a resilient, satellite‑based mesh of location and communication data. This system gives our chase team continuous insight into each rider’s position and movement, while giving riders instant, group‑wide communication through preconfigured status messages such as “Stopped but OK,” “Mechanical issue,” or “Medical issue.” These alerts propagate to the entire team within seconds, ensuring that any anomaly—no matter how small—is immediately visible and actionable.
Each device is preloaded with the day’s GPS tracks, creating a seamless navigation experience and ensuring that even in the unlikely event of separation, every rider knows exactly where they are and where they’re headed.
Beyond the field team, we maintain an additional layer of oversight: our remote tracking operations center. This “eyes‑in‑the‑sky” support team monitors every rider’s beacon from home base, providing a redundant safety net. If a rider stops unexpectedly or deviates from the planned route, our remote team alerts the on‑ground leader within minutes.
The result is a touring experience that blends adventure with military‑grade situational awareness—high‑tech, highly coordinated, and engineered for rider confidence.
We know how important it is for your loved ones to feel confident and connected while you’re out chasing adventure. That’s why we’ve put together a thoughtful, all‑inclusive safety package designed to give everyone peace of mind.
Even in the rare event that you become separated from the group, you’re never truly on your own. You’ll have direct communication with your family, every rider in your group, and every member of our team. And we’ll walk you through everything you need to know during orientation so it all feels simple and second nature.

GIVE ME THE CLIFF NOTES OF HOW ALL OF THIS GOES DOWN
Guests should plan to arrive the day prior to our departure. For convenience, we recommend the Ramada Inn Hotel, located less than one mile from the Rottweiler Performance headquarters. Our team will collect all riders from the hotel at 5:00 a.m. on departure morning.
This first day serves as our orientation and setup period. Guests will enjoy light refreshments while meeting fellow riders, and our crew will prepare and assign the rental motorcycles. We will conduct a comprehensive briefing covering trail etiquette, safety protocols, and logistical expectations for the journey ahead.
On the official start day, all participants are transported from the hotel to Tecate, where we cross the border as a group and expedite the process of obtaining the required Mexican visas. From there, we continue to the stunning Rancho Ojai staging area to unload, gear up, and begin the adventure.
Over the following four days, we travel progressively south through Baja, experiencing a curated selection of its most iconic landscapes and destinations. On the fourth day, we arrive in Loreto for a well‑earned rest day. That morning, our crew will collect your laundry in provided bags and return everything freshly cleaned, folded, and ready for the next leg of the journey.
On day six, we continue south for three additional days of riding until we reach Cabo San Lucas, where you will enjoy a two‑night stay at a beachfront resort overlooking the legendary arch at Land’s End. On the first morning in Cabo, our team gathers all items returning to Rottweiler Performance and loads the motorcycles for transport home. The remainder of the day is yours to relax, explore, and enjoy everything Cabo has to offer.
On the final day—day ten—guests should schedule their departure flight from San José del Cabo for early afternoon. Bring home whatever you wish; if any items need to be shipped back with our team, we will assist with arrangements upon return.
For those choosing to fly in family or extend their stay in Cabo, we wholeheartedly support and recommend it. It’s a perfect way to cap off an unforgettable journey.
DEPOSIT, TOUR DATES, AND MINIMUM RIDER POLICIES:
A considerable amount of resources are engaged when a rider signs on to a tour, so non refundable deposit is required to lock in your spot. This is typical for almost all tour companies. Conversely, a discount is also offered for a full payment up front commitment. We offer this as an incentive to roll the savings into travel insurance which can be very affordable and allow you the comfort that if the unexpected happens, you are covered. If the deposit option is taken, the remainder of the tour costs are due 60 days before the start date of the tour chosen.
Currently our tour minimum is 5 riders. If a tour date does not meet the minimum of 5 riders when the balance of the trip is due (60 days before the trip start date), the client will be given the option to pick another available tour date.

Doing this again
I just finished a 10 day Baja experience with Rottweiler Performance “walls to water”
And honestly it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on a bike.
Everything was dialed in from start to finish, the routes were incredible, desert, mountains, rocky sections, beach runs, small Baja towns,
Just incredible!
Every day felt different.
Chris and his team were professional and prepared, these guys actually know Baja,
They know the terrain , fuel stops, local spots, and cared about everyone making it through safely while still having an absolute blast!
The riding pace was solid.
The bikes performed flawlessly, support was excellent, food was great, hotels were way better than expected
And the overall vibe of the trip was unreal!
Just a bunch of good people riding hard all day and laughing all night!
The margaritas and beer combo was my favorite! ??
BAJA it’s magical!
If you’re considering doing a BAJA moto trip, stop overthinking and go!
Chris / Rottweiler it’s the way to go
10/10 experience
I’m in for the next one!
Spectacular!
I have just returned to New Zealand from doing the Walls to Water Baja ride with the Rottweiler team. It was a trip of a lifetime right from when we got to the Rottweiler garage where they set the KTMs up to the individual riders and explained the ride to the last day at Cabo San Lucas. The ride and accommodation was absolutely awesome and first class. I would recommend the trip to anyone and would love to do it again. Thanks Chris Parker, Jono Kight, Rudy, Pulpo(Felipe) Omar and all the riders that were with us.
