Fueling Dongle

Installed on a 2017 with 1500 miles on it. Wings pipe upgrade with stock air filter. After the Wings pipe I had a couple of stalls and some misfires when cold. Installed this, removed the O2 sensor and plugged it. Also did a 15 minute idle reset. Now it runs much better. I also noticed better low RPM throttle response. Factory setting is to lean. This helped rich it up. A must for any aftermarket pipe.

The only material difference I observed was eliminating the twitchy on/off throttle response when at idle. That difference alone made it worth the small cost. It may have made the low end feel slightly smoother as a whole but to me felt somewhat negligible. I had hoped that this would waken up the low end power - it definitely did not, but it is a very cheap way to remove low end twitchy throttle.

I'm running a stock 2016 701e with a K&N filter and stock exhaust. It's a subtle difference with this fueling dongle, but it smoothened out the low-to-mid range nicely. Get the 02 sensor plug, it's the smaller 12mm variety which are hard to find.

For the price, you get a little more power on the lower end which is really nice. Very easy to install and worth the price!

Having traced the cable back to behind the rad and under the airbox, this job, if it ever gets done, is going to have to wait for another time.

I have a 2018 701 with currently fitted with a Wings slip on and spark arrestor in. While the bike runs fine, i'm a little concerned about running too lean on the closed loop low RPM default map. The fuel dongle was installed more of a safety measure than any type of 'performance' gain. Since I don't have the ability to measure AFR, i'll just trust Rottweilers graph. One note, on the 2018 bikes, the closed loop map seems to be really smooth right off the bat. I did not notice any on/off throttle inconsistencies or lack of fuel. The dongle was installed just as a piece of mind. My bike will be fitted with a PCV and open airbox at a later date.

This is definitely worth adding if you cant do the power commander right away.

Put this on with an Arrow slip on. All I can say is that this 701 is a real beast now. Pulls way harder and smoother. Like a different bike. A must have if you add a slip on.

Smooth!!!!! no stalls in cold conditions anymore.Smooth in low rpm and not too much fuelconsumption.
