This is the third SAS/canister kit I've installed. One on my 06 950, my buddies 2010 990, and now my new 1090. It's very easy to do, everything fits perfectly and it gets rid of a lot of unneeded crap that really clutters up the bike. The best part is on the 1090, I can now store tools under the seat where they should be.

Easy install, nice to have the space under my seat for much needed storage.

Easy install on 1090R. Removed some weight as well as gave me some underseat storage for tool pouch/flat repair kit. With o2 sensor plugs, the bike shed 3lb 4oz.
I watched the install video and read the instructions and it was fairly straight forward and simple.

Hello Rottweiller,
My bike is a 2016 special edition model KTM 1290 super Duke R.
I followed the install instructions on Utube & that went well.
When I got to the part related to charcoal canister & dongle install I found the canister is not there on this bike.
The connector under the right side cover has nothing installed.
I have removed the Cat and installed a Remus link pipe with the standard Akra slip on with dealer installed Akra map.
After that the backfire & flame from the pipe had to be seen to be believed.
Install of the SAS remove kit cured that. I installed the Rotweiller fueling dongles at the same time.
Bike is running really well with no fault codes and fueling feels spot on.
The bike was purchased from the dealer in Indonesia and was new when I bought it.
Can you advise on the charcoal canister not being installed and why there is no fault code with the connector being open.
As well there is a knurled plastic screw supplied in the SAS kit.
Please advise what that is for.
All in all a good thing with easy installation and a great result for how the engine runs.
Thank you.
Regards
John Phillips.
